Modeling Optics with Realistic Edge Apertures

April 13th 2016

OpticStudio offers a comprehensive way to model realistic lens apertures with opto-mechanical semi-diameters. Three separate apertures (semi-diameter, chip zone, and mechanical semi-diameter) offer the ability to define a lens component the same way it is made.

These definitions are use across the board from thermal analysis to component drawings. In this webinar you will learn how to use opto-mechanical semi-diameters in your optical designs.

About the Presenter:

Thomas Pickering has worked with Zemax for the past year as a Senior Optical Engineer. He has a PhD in Physics from the Royal Holloway, University of London. He has been a researcher focused on the development of a beam profile monitor for CLIC using laser-wire systems.
