Packaging an omnidirectional sensor using LensMechanix

In this webinar, watch how to design around an omnidirectional sensor, which is commonly used in autonomous vehicles. You will learn how to define a clear enclosure in SOLIDWORKS, which will reduce design iterations between the optical and mechanical engineer. Then, you can visualize the interaction of the complete design with sunlight. We will demonstrate how to: 

• Load an OpticStudio file into SOLIDWORKS as editable so you can change optical coatings 
• Package an optical system without having requirements from an optical engineer 
• Define a mechanical component as an optical component 
• Simulate the sun to study the effects of sunlight on the system
