Installing OpticStudio with a Black USB Single-User Hardkey

If you are trying to configure OpticStudio to work with a network license:

For installing and configuring a client machine to reach a key server that uses a black USB key (It uses a 5 digit serial number such as 22000) this is discussed in Installing OpticStudio with a Black USB Network Hardkey.

For those that need to configure OpticStudio to reach a key server that uses a softkey license, or a Red network license (your license key serial number will be similar to L000001), refer to How to Install the Network License Version of OpticStudio

If you have a multi-user network softkey or Red USB license (the key numbers are similar to L000001 rather than 5 digits) and need to set up the key server or configure OpticStudio to reach the server, refer to How to Install the Network License Version of OpticStudio

How to Connect to the ZOS-API with the Interactive Extension using Matlab

In this article, we will show how to connect to the ZOS-API with the new Interactive Extension using Matlab. The Interactive Extension mode is almost identical to a User Extension except an Interactive Extension does not have to be a standalone executable. This capability allows connections from scripting environments such as Matlab or Python where there is no compiled executable that OpticStudio can launch.
