Multi-CPU and GPU

Optical design has always pushed the boundaries of what's possible on computers. OpticStudio currently supports up to 64 CPUs per machine, helping to solve the most difficult problems in optical design. OpticStudio automatically divides most lengthy calculations, such as ray tracing, diffraction analysis, and optimization into multiple parallel tasks. For example, OpticStudio can trace one ray on one processor, while tracing another on a second processor, and so on, and then combine the results. OpticStudio supports up to 64 CPUs without any user intervention. 32-bit versions of OpticStudio support only 16 CPUs. OpticStudio also harnesses the computational power of your graphics card to provide leading-edge system visualization tools.
