Can I Change the {Data} Folder?

This article explains the operation of the {Data} folder that Zemax OpticStudio creates on first use.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This applies primarily to OpticStudio 16.5 Sp5 and lower.

In OpticStudio 17, we now offer the option to change the primary {DATA} folder and also moved the DLL, Extend and UDO folders to within the {DATA} folder by default instead of the Opticstudio installation folder (normally Program files\Zemax OpticStudio). Details on this new functionality are covered in the built in help of OpticStudio 17.
